In February 2015, Pinterest introduced a new rule that bans all affiliate IDs on Pins. Every affiliate URL you share, your affiliate ID gets stripped and visitors will click on a link which you will earn no commission. To still do affiliate marketing write a blog post. In that blog post, review the affiliate product and add images and testimonials, plus add a buy button. Use your blog post URL and Pinterest won’t find any affiliate IDs to remove and you can safely continue marketing.
