In order to get free traffic, one must utilize as many methods as possible, as in, using social media, social bookmarking sites, directories, utilizing backlinks and so on. It's not easy by any means, but utilizing these free methods will get you some free traffic.

Of course, there's also the way of link exchange and finding sites that offer free traffic for some.

Yeah sounds like typical styles of getting traffic. I will say that social media is the obvious route these days, but I could find interest in trying any other methods out there.
