When I see people talking about menus and such, I always wonder if a menu is really needed sometimes? Most blogs will offer up some sort of site map, or categories to go to, so is a menu needed these days? what do you think?

For some sites a menu is kind of needed, but simple blogs I don't think really need it. Maybe a home button or something like that would be fine, but I personally don't see a reason for it most of the time.
