What kind of stock photos work best?

I love using stock photos on my sites, but sometimes the stock photos I can get, don't quite match a site. So with that being said, what kind of stock photos would you say are better to use? I personally try to not use any where it's a stock photo of someone working? I have used many stock images of people playing video games, but that's about it.
