Does having a LinkedIn profile/account help you get better jobs? I saw another thread that asked a similar question, but about helping with sites and so on. But does it help you get actual jobs? I always pictured LinkedIn like a bit resume site.

It certainly helps big time at helping one get a job. I know people have been hired from LinkedIn. In a way, LinkedIn is a social portfolio, as resume in a way. So I can see why people get jobs because of it.
