It's quite obvious that Facebook is quite a spam fest, with people constantly posting memes, pictures, videos, vines, etc. Facebook has become a site to spam ads all over the place. The thing is, these ads are from the users and they're usually not ads for anything much. Vine has skyrocketed because of Facebook, there's now even sites dedicated to vine videos.

People have the ability to post anything on facebook as long as it meets their user policies. Yet, a lot of people post ads for new video games, movies, devices and just whatever they find. Do you think this hurts Facebook?

Facebook has declined a lot in the last years. It's very intrusive now with all kinds of ads. What I do is unfollow 90% of my contacts news feeds and only give likes to pages that are informative to me. This is the best way to turn facebook into a productive place.
