Use Body tags for your articles/blog posts
Posted by: Marry - 12-11-2013, 06:12 PM - Forum: Write a Search Engine Optimized Article or Blog Post - No Replies

One way to make things easier for your blog or site is to use body tags. Using a heading tag is a great way to break things up, you can also use other tags in the HTML world to break things up, like <br> = Break and <p> = paragraph.

Anyways, headings usually go h1, h2, h3, h4, h5 and so on. It helps make crawlers detect important content.

  Have good Meta Descriptions
Posted by: Marry - 12-11-2013, 06:07 PM - Forum: Write a Search Engine Optimized Article or Blog Post - Replies (1)

Meta descriptions are descriptions for a part of your site. It is used for search results. I'll explain it a bit better. It utilizes keywords in a sentence or so, a description used in a search engine. Anyways an example would be, well first, say you have a site for a movie, say an action movie like Batman.

Batman and Robin are keywords and your description can say "Batman and Robin save Gotham again" Or something like that. Hopefully that makes sense.

Having a VIP section on your site help?
Posted by: Marry - 12-11-2013, 06:01 PM - Forum: Write a Search Engine Optimized Article or Blog Post - Replies (1)

Does having a VIP section on your site help in any way? In SEO terms that is? I ask because the site I want to make soon, will probably have a VIP section, maybe for paid members. I still don't know what kind of site I will make, I have some ideas brewing, just not sure what yet.

Anyways, does having a VIP section help SEO?

If theres barely any content, will that hurt SEO?
Posted by: Marry - 12-11-2013, 05:59 PM - Forum: Content, Text and Copy Writing - Replies (7)

If a site doesn't have too much content, will that hurt the SEO? I've seen sites with just links, some text and an image and they do fine, but does that mean any person could do that? or should I stay away from that?

  Utilize your meta tags
Posted by: Marry - 12-11-2013, 04:40 PM - Forum: Write a Search Engine Optimized Article or Blog Post - Replies (1)

Meta tags are simply keywords for each of your pages. All of the keywords have to be relevant to the subject of each page. It helps categorize your pages a bit better and overall helps make searching for your pages better on google.

  Have good page titles
Posted by: Marry - 12-11-2013, 04:34 PM - Forum: Write a Search Engine Optimized Article or Blog Post - Replies (1)

Good page titles are ideal to making sure your site looks good and proper. If a site has a really long title, it probably isn't going to do well. Also make sure to have a unique title, something different and not copied. Don't make it over-complicated and you'll be fine.

What should your link look like?
Posted by: Marry - 12-11-2013, 04:31 PM - Forum: Write a Search Engine Optimized Article or Blog Post - Replies (1)

I would like to say that when it comes to your site, you want to make sure it looks good. One example I'd like to express to you all is to make sure your site has keywords in your link and not just numbers.

For example. If your site is www(.)blah(.)com/889917722 or something like that, it isn't good. What you'll want is your link to look like this: www(.)blah(.)com/title_of_article_or_keyword

The keyword or the phrase or whatever, should always been in the link.

I hope this helpful tip helps you all.

  Don’t put SEO over content
Posted by: Marry - 12-11-2013, 04:30 PM - Forum: Write a Search Engine Optimized Article or Blog Post - Replies (2)

This article is basically about SEO and general content on a site. It goes on why content is more important than actual SEO and that you should focus more on content. I tend to agree with this, because content generates interest from people. If you do SEO on a blank site, how is that going to work out for you? Shy

Do you agree or disagree?
